Throughout this trip your daughter will visit timeless landmarks such as the ancient Colosseum and the elegant Eiffel Tower. She will see firsthand some of the world’s most renowned art in the famous Vatican Museums, Uffizi Galleries, Le Louvre, Musée Rodin, and Musée d’Orsay. She will explore the vibrant cities of Rome, Florence, and Paris and she will delight in the pastoral beauty of Tuscany and Bourgogne.

As a child of the Sacred Heart your daughter will spend two days in the birthplace of St. Madeleine Sophie Barat in Joigny, visit St. Rose Philippine Duchesne’s hometown of Grenoble, stay at the guest house of the Society of the Sacred Heart in Rome, pray in the chapel of Mater Admirabilis at the top of the Spanish Steps, and visit many sights in Paris that were crucial to the development of Sacred Heart education.

Together with her Duchesne sisters she will immerse herself in Goal Four as she “builds community as a Christian value” and forges lifelong relationships and memories with friends old and new. Fritaly is led by Mr. Eric Krakowski who will be guiding students on this journey for the eighth time. Starting 2025, US passport holders (and passport holders not within the Schengen Area) will be required to apply with the European Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAS)- similar to applying for a travel visa, but more of a travel authorization. 

This authorization allows you to stay within The Schengen Area for up to 90-days within a 180-day period. It will be valid for 3-years or until your passport expires, whichever comes first. 

The process will be fairly simple and can be completed online. There will be a registration form, and you will have to upload a valid passport. There will also be a small processing fee (no more than $10). Once the application is submitted for screening, you will receive a result within 4-days of applying. Typically, you should receive an approved ETIAS, but in rare cases if it is denied, the email will specify why it was denied and how to apply again. 

This authorization will be put in place for safety and security concerns and to limit irregular migration into The Schengen Area. 

As of now, there is no way to apply for the authorization. Dream-Travel will monitor the website  and we will communicate with our groups on how to apply and proceed. 

In the meantime, we urge everyone to apply for their passport as quickly as possible so that when the time comes, there is no delay in applying for an ETIAS.
